Telecommunications
GP provides training for the termination, install, repair and maintenance of the telecommunications network cabling that is presently connected to residential, commercial and industrial locations. It is now mandatory that a certified cabling person with appropriate ACMA license to perform these works. Mine Intelligence Institute works closely with an approved registered training organization who is government approved to provide the appropriate certifications to meet these requirements.

The National Broadband Network (NBN) is an Australia wide project to upgrade the existing copper cable network to a fibre optic infrastructure including back bone and fibre to the home technology.
Mine Intelligence Institute in union with the RTO Milcom Communications as an appointed NBNCo’s approved training provider to delivers multiple courses and certifications to able qualified people to be NBN accredited.

GP provides training so the security system installers gain expertise and knowledge of the product and the installation process and procedures with the understanding for the principles of operation and characteristics of controllers, detectors, relays, bells, sirens, screamers and telephone circuits. Included are electronic and electrical surveillance systems, closed-circuit TV, and simple electronic principles and terminating techniques.
Technical Security focuses on the installation of security equipment in both home and business environments, and covers a range of technologies from stand-alone alarm systems to fully integrated access control and IP CCTV.
